This website is the official home of an exciting new initiative to explore the possibility of bringing a riverboat casino and entertainment venue to the heart of Rome, Georgia.
Our vision is bold: to activate our greatest natural resource — our rivers — and create a unique destination that generates significant tax revenue, boosts tourism, creates jobs, and offers new entertainment options for locals and visitors alike.

We are in the process of forming an Exploratory Committee of local leaders, business owners, and engaged citizens to:
- Gauge community interest
- Build grassroots support
- Begin the process of engagement with local and state officials
Legalizing riverboat gambling in Georgia will require action from the Georgia State Legislature and possible a statewide referendum. While neither the Rome City Commission or the Floyd County Commission has the power to legalize gambling, what they do have is something just as important: the ability to shape how our community benefits from this opportunity.
For this project to work, we’ll need permission to build a dock downtown, access utilities like water, sewer, and fuel, and create infrastructure that ties the boat to the local economy. Those are entirely under their jurisdiction.
This is a serious effort, and we believe that — with enough community support — this vision can become reality.
